Introduction

OptiGrate Corporation designs and manufactures a full range of volume Bragg gratings (transmitting - TBG, reflecting - RBG, chirped - CBG) in inorganic photosensitive silicate glass. Superior technologies devised by the company founder and licensed from the University of Central Florida (UCF) allow OptiGrate to offer patented volume Bragg gratings with efficiencies larger than 99.9%. OptiGrate has also set records in a number of other grating parameters.

OptiGrate has demonstrated a superior ability to develop volume Bragg gratings as custom prototypes and has proven to be a reliable supplier of diffractive optical components for a number of government contractors, as well as key industrial and academic players in optoelectronics, analytical, and semiconductor industries. OptiGrate has commercially sold volume Bragg gratings with the largest apertures on record, and with the largest thicknesses and smallest absorption rates currently possible in photosensitive inorganic glasses.

Upon opening a new glass fabrication facility in 2007, OptiGrate is now able to develop and mass produce unique and fine-tuned photo-thermo-refractive glasses and high- performance volume Bragg holographic gratings customized to meet the dimensions and characteristics you need. In addition to world-class holographic and glass manufacturing facilities, OptiGrate has recently signed a unique licensing agreement allowing the company access to the research and development potential of scientists at UCF’s prestigious College of Optics and Photonics - Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers.
